Antonio de la Rua who? Shakira is ready to confirm that she's dating Spanish footballer Gerard Pique.
The 34-year-old singer posted a romantic picture of the couple on Twitter. The photo shows the two smiling and comes with the message: "I present to you my sunshine".
The rumors about Shakira dating the 24-year-old FC Barcelona player started earlier this month after they were seen holding hands and kissing in Barcelona. Also, last month, Pique uploaded a photo from his birthday. Shakira was also present in that photo.
Apparently, Shakira met Pique while filming the video for Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) and they have been dating for months. Actually, according to Barcelona-based newspaper El Periodico de Catalunya, the two spent a night at Hotel Atzaro in Ibiza last July. But Shakira denied the rumors at the time. "We're just friends. There's nothing more to it", Pique also said.
It was maybe because Shakira was still dating Antonio de la Rua, the eldest son of the former Argentinian premier at the time. Shakira split from Antonio early this year after dating him for 11 years. The reason? He cheated on her! Oh well, they were both cheating on each other if what El Periodico de Catalunya wrote was true.
