Legends; Show Jumping's, Milton, "Simply The Best."
Watch A Video of Milton : clickMilton, dubbed Britain's number one Show Jumper and argued as the worlds greatest Show Jumper, bred by John Harding-Rolls. The great grey was born on February 16th, 1977. Milton was the son of the dutch-bred Show Jumping stallion, Marius.
As a weanling, Milton was purchased by Caroline Bradley who also rode his sire, Marius to winning title of, "Leading Show Jumper of the Year," in 1978. Mrs. Bradley had hopes, that Milton would be her ride to the Olympics. Caroline, trained and rode Milton until her un-timely death at the age of 37, in 1983. Knowing how devoted Caroline was to Milton and adamant that he was a horse with talent to reach the Olympic level, Mrs. Bradley's parents approached John Whitaker about riding the grey gelding.
John rode Milton to many successes which include over 1 million in prize money and an Individual Silver and Team Gold at the 1987 European Championships and winner of two FEI World Cup Finals.
Milton was retired from Show Jumping at the 1994 Olympia Horse Show.
Milton was known not only for his talent and successes, but also his personality in the ring. He would leap into the air on que, showing off to his many devoted fans.
John once described Milton as, "Simply The Best."
Sadly, in 1999 at the age of 22, Milton was euthanized due to intestinal complications.

Man Kneels To Seek For Forgiveness

"As a man, I can give up my honour, dignity, and even the route for retreat. I'm kneeling down here, so that all the women of this country will recognise me and they will not accept me in the future. Only by doing this, my wife will have greater confidence in me!"
Kelvin Ng, 30, a car battery salesman and housing broker from Ampang, claimed that he had six extramarital relations in the past five years.
Ng, brought along a banner with him, kneeled down at the bustling SS2 junction under the hot sun Tuesday (24 Feb) to seek for forgiveness from his wife, and to repent of his violence against his wife.
Many passers were curious and some even stopped by to find out what was happening.
Some people thought he should not be forgiven for seeking for forgiveness only after he has done wrong. Meanwhile, some women were deeply touched by his act and some guys shared their wife taming methods with him, causing a sudden disturbance here.
Some enthusiastic passers immediately helped Ng to call and persuade wife, hoping that she could forgive Wu.
As the afternoon was very hot, the public advised Ng to dispel the idea 20 minutes later.

2 WEEKS LATER
In a desperate attempt to win back his estranged wife, a man has continued to plead for her forgiveness in public.Salesman Kelvin Ng, 29, made his first public attempt a week ago in SS2 here. On Saturday, the distressed husband tried again, kneeling down in front of Amcorp Mall with banners and a poster saying “I Love You Lee Sook Chin”.
Please forgive me: Ng stationing himself in front of the mall in Petaling Jaya on Saturday. The writing on the card reads ‘I Love You Lee Sook Chin’.Speaking to reporters as he knelt, Ng swore that if his wife returned to him, he would repent.
“I want her to be the most admired woman out there and I want her to think that this marriage was never a wrong choice.
“I am doing my best to rescue this marriage and the whole world will be my witness,” he said.
Ng said his wife had claimed that he had been caught cheating on her six times.
However, he said he only cheated on her thrice and vowed not to be “playful” anymore.
Two weeks ago, his wife left him, leaving behind their two children – a boy, aged three and a girl, aged one.
One of his friends, Alex Tang, 30, said they were also there to do all they could to help Ng, who had been depressed.
Ng, who had earlier pledged to kneel for a whole day or until he passed out, remained in his position outside the mall until 10pm.
However, it was in vain because his wife did not come back.
When contacted, his wife Crystal Lee, 24, asked to be left alone.
“I will forgive my husband anyway but I need time to think it over,” she said.

Indian woman sells baby to pay hospital bill
A poverty-stricken single mother in India sold her newborn son to a childless couple for 6,000 rupees (120 dollars) so she could pay her medical bill, a media report said on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old woman, Rajitha, delivered the baby by Caesarean section last week in the town of Kothagudem in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh, but could not afford the 2,000 rupee (40 dollar) hospital fee, the NDTV news channel reported.
A rickshaw driver friend gave her 6,000 rupees for the baby, which he planned to raise with his wife. The couple have no children.
Police interrogated the woman in the local hospital, 270 kilometres (170 miles) from the state capital Hyderabad, where she told them her husband had abandoned her and she had no means to support herself and a baby.
Police said they would take action against the hospital.
“Buying and selling a baby is an offence, so we will be booking cases,” Kothagudem revenue division officer P. Rajaram said.
Welfare officials want the baby to be reunited with his mother so she can breastfeed him. They said the mother and child would then be shifted to a state-run facility where Rajitha can decide if she wants to put the baby up for adoption.
The incident occurred in the parliamentary constituency of India’s minister of state for women and child development Renuka Chowdhury.

Sextuplets delivered by Mrs. Amuda Ajoke Bello at Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching HospitalA woman who gave birth to a set of sextuplets over the weekend in Nigeria has died of complications.
Ajoke Bello, 32, gave birth to the six babies by Caesarean section operation on Thursday and was initially in a stable condition.

The naturally conceived babies - three girls and three boys - were in a stable condition, said medical officials.

"The doctors and nurses at the hospital put in their best to ensure that the woman lived.
"She was under close monitoring as the medical team did not leave any stone unturned to ensure that she was alive."
The BBC's Fidelis Mbah in Lagos says charity groups have been making donations for the upkeep of the babies.
The governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel, had visited Mrs Bello in hospital on Saturday and promised the government would give all necessary assistance to her family.
According to the figures from the World Health Organization, published in 2007, Nigeria's maternal mortality rate is the second highest in the world, after India.
Over half a million women die in childbirth annually around the world, according to the WHO, and Nigeria alone accounts for 10% of these deaths.

'Slumdog' grabs 8 Oscars
Slumdog Millionaire was nominated for 10 Academy Awards and won eight, the most of any film that year, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Sound Mixing, Best Film Editing, Best Original Score, and Best Original Song.
The film has been directed by Danny Boyle, co-directed by Loveleen Tandan and written by Simon Beaufoy. It is an adaptation of the Boeke Prize-winning and Commonwealth Writers' Prize-nominated novel Q & A (2005) by Indian author and diplomat Vikas Swarup.

Slumdog Millionaire child star beaten by father after returning home
Despite the big success of ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, life has not changed much for Rubina Ali, Ayush Mahesh Khedekar and Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail (front row, left to right)
'Slumdog Millionaire' child star Azharuddin had a rather painful homecoming after attending the Oscars, for the boy was beaten up by his father just because he wanted to have some rest.
Mohammed Ismail slapped and kicked his 10-year-old son in front of shocked neighbours and passers-by soon after he flew back to India from Los Angeles, where he and his other young co-stars watched as their movie picked up eight Oscars.
Azharuddin, who plays young hero Jamal, got tears in the eyes and ran back inside his home, cowering and begging his father to stop while trying to hide in a corner.
The young star had been given the day off school after his long flight and wanted to take rest, but his father wanted to show him off outside their home.
And when the boy didn't agree, the 45-year-old father, who is hoping his son could be his ticket to get out of Mumbai's Dharavi slum, launched his attack while his mother pleaded Ismail to stop.
"Azharuddin's father was upset that he was asking to be left alone because he was so tired. He didn't attend school today so that he could recover from his long flight from LA and simply wanted all the attention to stop. However, when Azharuddin put his foot down and said that was it and there was to be no more talking, Ismail just flipped," a stunned onlooker said.
However, Azharuddin's return to the slums was another picture altogether when his father had lifted him up and paraded him like a trophy.
Just a few hours after the attack, TB patient Ismail apologised for the attack, saying: "I was very sorry I did what I did. I was confused and stressed by my son's homecoming and I did not know myself for a minute. I love my boy and I am very happy to have him home."

Slumdog Millionaire Kids Walk In Delhi Fashion Show

“Slumdog Millionaire” child star Rubina Ali’s father plans to get rid of poverty and become a millionaire by selling his nine-year-old daughter, a British news website reported after conducting a sting operation. Newsoftheworld.co.uk reports that in a bid to escape slum life, Rafiq Qureshi has put Rubina up for adoption, demanding 200,000 pounds.
Rafiq offered the shocking deal to the News of the World’s undercover reporters posing as a wealthy family from Dubai. He told the fake sheikh this week: “I have to consider what’s best for me, my family and Rubina’s future.”
Rafiq tried to blame Hollywood bosses for forcing him to put his daughter up for sale. As he tried to fix the illegal adoption deal, Rafiq declared: “We’ve got nothing out of this film.”
Then, almost embarrassed to speak it out loud, he whispered to an accomplice the price tag he has put on his daughter: “It’s 200,000 pounds”, he was quoted as saying by the website.
That was an astonishing four-fold increase on his opening demand. But Rafiq’s equally demanding brother Mohiuddin insisted: “The child is special now. This is not an ordinary child. This is an Oscar child!”
Rafiq, who stays in the Bandra slum sprawl of Mumbai, is reportedly desperate to cash in on his daughter’s success in the multiple-Oscar winning film by selling her to the highest bidder.

And then last night I got this phone call at 11+, it went like this:

Wah seh, I think that woman found out her boyfriend cheating on her or something, then want to call his number then scold him or something, cuz she sounded quite sad and disappointed - like korean drama seah!
And i'm in the library now with Tammy (stardee bardeeee), my area got some smelly feet smell - I suspect is the uncle sitting in front of me, he look like he 9 days never bathe already.
And no, this isn't the exciting post I promised you all in my previous post. Will update soon!

Porther house barWe had a blast at the races this weekend. We ended up staying the night in Hot Springs, and stayed at the Embassy Suites, had dinner at Bella Arti with a bunch of friends. I cant say Hot Springs was the most happening place to go out at night, but there were a lot of people in town and we have fun whereever we go!
Its so nice to have the kind of friends that you may not see everyday, but as soon as you do..its like you have missed a beat.
This was the first time I have ever won at the races...I hit two trifectas! yeah me!
